How to find resilience through mindfulness

I recently published a blog with the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being at one of my alma maters George Mason University. As a part of GMU’s Thriving Together Series, my post touches on the importance of self-care and stress management through breathing techniques. In my own practice, I often come back to this beautiful mantra by Thich Nhat Hanh: “Breathing in, I calm my body. Breathing out, I smile.” In this blog I expand on mindful breathing and meditation as valuable tools in our daily lives. I also offer a brief calming practice called the 4-7-8 breathing cycle that you can access anywhere, anytime. Enjoy!
