My yoga journey

My name is Anna. I am a knowledge seeker on a yoga journey, which for me started through the physical practice of asana but grew into a much richer experience that eventually led me to the yoga teacher training. As my practice deepened overtime, I began to approach yoga more holistically and explore all eight limbs of yoga beyond physical movement. I live in beautiful and historic Capitol Hill neighborhood in Washington DC where I practice and teach yoga and explore other creative and community projects. I hold RYT-200 Yoga Alliance certification.

Yoga in Sanskrit (योग) comes from the root yuj (युज्) meaning "to attach, join, harness, yoke." For me it has become a life-long journey, a source of personal growth and transformation toward a more perfect union of the body, mind, and soul.

Why Yantar Yoga

Yantar (jantar) is the old name for amber in Slavic languages. In my native Poland, this unique substance, formed over millennia from the resin of ancient forests, occupies a special place in the culture and in the tradition of jewelry making. It is famous for its variety of golden, yellow, and green hues and its power to preserve objects in time. Just like a motionless insect encased in the neolithic tree sap, our true essence often remains dormant. Yoga provides a path toward awakening, it is a journey within that ignites our inner glow.
